In 2016, it is predicted that around 6.4 billion linked devices will be in use, up 30% from 2015.
According to an analysis by the Gartner market research institute, some 5.5 million new devices join global networks on a daily basis. Expenses relating to services that are connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) will therefore increase to US$ 235 billion, a growth of 22% over 2015.
