Exhibitors satisfied with last Systems fair

The last Systems IT fair recently closed its doors in Munich. This fair took place for the last time this year. On Wednesday last week the organizers of the Systems fair officially announced the end of it. However, according to the German Association for Information Management, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM) the companies exhibiting at this year’s last Systems in Munich were satisfied with the results. This was revealed in the course of a survey carried out by BITKOM.

“The last Systems in this fair’s 40 years long history was a good one“, said the BITKOM managing director, Mr. Bernhard Rohleder. The willingness to invest demonstrated by software companies, institutions and organisations was satisfying in particular when taking into account the instable economic prospects. The focal points of the last Systems was on IT security, IT business solutions for small and medium-sized entities (SMEs) and Green IT.

This positive result confirms that the IT industry is still quite optimistic despite the current financial crisis, said BITKOM. Exhibiting companies confirmed that the German market for information and telecommunications is currently little affected by the financial crisis. According to BITKOM, this confirms the findings of a recently survey which BITKOM carried out last week and which showed that 86% of companies interviewed currently feel no direct impact of the financial crisis on their businesses.
