Prices for the construction of offices and industrial buildings grew by 3.2% and 3.3% respectively in the period from February 2007 to February 2008. Prices for road construction grew by 4.0%. The price index for the construction of residential buildings increased by 3.0% in the same period. These figures were published by the Federal Statistical Office.
With regard to maintenance works at residential buildings (multiple dwellings without cosmetic repairs) prices grew by 2.5%.
Prices for shells and extensions increased by 3.0% in the period from February 2007 to February 2008. Prices for the insulation of technical installations increased by +5.7%, for gas, water and sewage water installations within buildings by +4.5%, for plumber works by +4.4% and for heating installations and central water heating facilities by +4.2%. Price increases were lowest with regard to jointless floor coverings (+0.9%) and for tiling (+0.6%).
