On April 22nd 2008 the German equity capital forum will take place in the city of Mainz. This event is organized twice a year by the KfW Mittelstandsbank and Deutsche Börse and is a meeting point for companies looking for equity capital and investors. Over the twelve years since this forum was launched more than 1500 companies made use of it and about half of them were also successful in finding investors and business partners.
According to the organizers, the forum is in particular used by high-tech companies in their early stages, innovative technology companies willing to expand and planning another financing round or start-ups which need capital in order to finance research and development. In the ZDF conference centre in Mainz participating companies will meet with up to 250 investors and consultants from the venture capital and private equity business.
