First Change Management in SMEs course of studies to start soon

According to a report by the University of Bremerhaven for the first time in Germany there will be a course of studies called “change management in SMEs” starting in Bremerhaven in the winter semester 2006/07. It is a fact that SMEs are particularly affected by the change of the general economic environment. The master course which is practice-orientated and lasts four semesters is to teach the know-how needed for the management of change processes. The challenges of being able and competent enough to adapt to these changes is the thread running through the entire course.

The course of change management in small and medium-sized entities (SMEs) is meant for graduates of business studies or economic engineering. The course capacity is limited to 20 places. Applicants have to undergo a special entrance examination. The course is interdisciplinary, practice and internationally orientated.

SMEs represent the biggest job market segment for university graduates. The number of new jobs generated here is much higher than in major enterprises. Furthermore there is a strong demand for young executive professionals with business skills. The job prospects for graduates of this master course are therefore excellent. Applications are to arrive no later than July 15th 2006. More information is made available on the university´s website. GERMAN
